Svenskt Tenn awarded Sam a bursary and invited him to debut his Josef Frank inspired prints during Stockholm Design Week at their flagship store on Strandvägen 5.

The exhibition ran for six weeks and featured the repeating worlds Sumptuous Getaway and Quandary Quagmire, printed on a variety of hand-prepared fabrics in multifarious colourways.

Displayed alongside these works was a glass cabinet filled with Sam's research, sketches, colour swatches and material samples.

Taking a departure from his usual creative practice, Sam worked with a team of renowned architects and designers, to create a multi-purpose sculptural installation, dubbed the Isotrope.

This self-supporting structure composed of hundreds of undulating modular elements, and was the first of it’s kind to use cutting-edge magnetic assembly technology.

The Isotrope went on to receive acclaim from top industry experts and Bloomberg awarded Sam a generous bursary for his design contribution.
